Denver artisan bakery Rebel Bread quickly expanding wholesale business

When bakery owner Zach Martinucci moved to Denver about five years ago, people told him there were plenty of bakeries in the area.

“I was like, ‘Oh, no, there’s so much room,’” Martinucci replied. “I had come from San Francisco, where there was a bakery on every street corner and you could still open more because of the love of good bread.”

T-Mobile to acquire Ryan Reynolds’ Mint Mobile for up to $1.35 billion

T-Mobile is set to purchase prepaid wireless brand Mint Mobile but says the brand’s low monthly rate – as well as its marketing from part-owner and actor Ryan Reynolds – are here to stay.

T-Mobile on Wednesday said it agreed to purchase Ka’ena Corp. and its subsidiaries and brands, including Mint Mobile, the wireless service Ultra Mobile and wholesaler Plum. T-Mobile plans to pay up to $1.35 billion in cash and stock and close the deal later this year, with the final price depending on Ka’ena’s performance.

Sheetz’s ‘smile policy’ for convenience store workers may not have teeth

Sheetz, the Pennsylvania-born convenience store chain, is reviewing an employee rule known as the “smile policy” after business news site Insider made inquiries about it.

The policy states that “applicants with obvious missing, broken, or badly discolored teeth (unrelated to a disability) are not qualified for employment with Sheetz.”

Sheetz spokesperson Nick Ruffner, reached for comment Wednesday, acknowledged the policy and said it “will continue to be under review.”

“Throughout our history to date we have embraced an appearance policy, because we know how important a smile is to the customer experience when serving hospitality. However, we are always reviewing
