As e‑commerce sales keep climbing, merchants are looking for ways to keep shoppers informed about where their packages are headed.

Veho links real‑time tracking to Shopify platform

Veho Tech Inc. announced Wednesday that its tracking system will now appear directly inside Shopify’s suite of tools. The integration pushes delivery updates to the Shopify dashboard without requiring sellers to modify their existing label‑creation or shipment‑management workflows.

According to the firm, the data stream follows each parcel from pickup through the final drop‑off, letting customers see each stage in the process. Shoppers can view the information through the Shop mobile app, which also supports the Shop Pay one‑click checkout feature.

“By bringing Veho tracking directly into Shopify, we’re making it easier for merchants to deliver visibility and confidence to customers,” said Hank Emerson, vice president of business development for Veho. The statement reflects the company’s push to reduce the anxiety that often accompanies high‑ticket purchases.

Its client list already includes several large retailers such as Macy’s, Sephora and Lululemon. Founded in 2016, the firm has focused on embedding its technology into existing e‑commerce ecosystems rather than requiring merchants to adopt new processes.

Impact on Shopify’s booming marketplace

Shopify reported $378 billion in gross merchandise volume for 2025, and its second‑quarter 2026 volume reached $116 billion, according to the platform’s public filings.

Because the integration works with the tools merchants already use, the rollout should be swift. It says the tracking feed will automatically update as packages move between carriers, warehouses and final delivery points, eliminating the need for manual status checks.

For shoppers, the benefit is a clearer picture of when to expect their orders.

Customers know exactly when to expect deliveries.

While the partnership promises smoother communication, it also highlights how technology providers are capitalizing on the logistical challenges that come with rapid online growth. The move is part of a broader trend where third‑party services embed themselves into the core workflows of major platforms.

Earlier attempts to improve shipment visibility often required merchants to adopt separate dashboards or install additional plugins. Those solutions frequently led to fragmented data and extra training for staff.

In other retail segments, a point‑of‑sale provider recently linked its system to a major food‑delivery network, giving independent stores a direct channel to consumers. That parallel shows how supply‑chain transparency is becoming a common selling point across different shopping experiences.

Veho’s integration does not alter the fundamental steps merchants take to create shipping labels or schedule pickups. Instead, it adds a layer of data that moves alongside the existing workflow, a design choice that could appeal to businesses wary of overhauling their operations.

Analysts have observed that platforms like Shopify benefit from any feature that reduces friction for both sellers and buyers. By offering built‑in tracking, the marketplace may strengthen its position against competitors that rely on third‑party apps for similar functionality.

As the e‑commerce sector continues to expand, the pressure to provide reliable, real‑time information will likely grow. Veho’s partnership with Shopify is an example of how technology firms are positioning themselves to meet that demand without forcing merchants into complex new processes.
